At Blu Water Day Spa, we have always believed that wellness is a journey of continuous growth, learning, and connection. That is why I am honored to share that I have been selected as an ISPA Ambassador for the International SPA Association (ISPA).
When I joined my first Ambassador meeting, I had the opportunity to meet an incredible group of spa and wellness professionals from across the country. As I listened to their introductions and impressive accomplishments, I found myself inspired by the passion, expertise, and leadership represented throughout our industry.
In fact, I became so focused on learning about everyone else that when it was my turn to introduce myself, I hardly knew what to say.
After reflecting on that experience, I realized that my journey has never been defined by titles or credentials. I do not have a formal business education. Instead, I have built my career through hard work, determination, curiosity, and a genuine desire to keep learning.
More than 30 years ago, I began my career in the beauty and wellness industry. Eighteen years ago, I opened Blu Water Day Spa with a vision of creating a welcoming place where guests could relax, recharge, and feel genuinely cared for. Today, I am proud to lead an award-winning spa supported by 25 dedicated long-term team members who share that same commitment to exceptional service and wellness.
One of the greatest lessons I have learned throughout my career is that growth never stops. Whether attending industry conferences, studying emerging wellness trends, exploring new technologies, or learning from other professionals, I am always searching for ways to improve the guest experience and better serve our community.
Travel has also played an important role in my personal and professional growth. Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to visit Antarctica, completing my journey to all seven continents. Experiencing different cultures, wellness traditions, and perspectives around the world has reinforced something I have always believed: there is always something new to learn.
That passion for learning is one of the reasons I am so excited to serve as an ISPA Ambassador.
The International SPA Association is the leading professional organization for the spa industry, bringing together spa owners, wellness leaders, educators, and innovators who are dedicated to advancing our profession. As an Ambassador, I look forward to collaborating with fellow industry leaders, sharing ideas, learning from others, and helping support initiatives that strengthen the future of the spa and wellness community.
